These are one of my favorite thing!!!
Fresh Rosemary and Lemon Cupcakes.
Get your muffin pan ready and remember if you have any leftover batter you can refrigerate it, while one batch is baking, let pan cool first and then bake another batch.
The preperation for these are ohh say about 30-40 minutes, but its so much fun in the process, can even lick some off your boobie if you get fancy LOL. Your gonna bake them for around 20 or so minutes and the oven temp needs to be 350 degrees, remember you can test to see if they are done, by simply sticking a toothpick in the middle to see if no batter comes off with it, if it does, let them bake a pinch longer...ok here we go ingredients you will need.
1/2 cup butter, make sure it is softened.
2 eggs
1 1/3 cups cake flour, yes there is a difference.
2 tsp finely chopped *fresh* rosemary, you can buy this if you do not have an herb garden, right in the fresh veggie part of your grocery store.
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp lemon extract
1/2 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup of milk
2 tsp finely shredded lemon peel
3 Tbsp lemon juice
and then I will give the recipe for the lemon glaze to go over them AFTER the mixing and baking process
The preperation for the batter is
FIRST, let butter and eggs stand at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Line your muffin pan with muffin papers, now if you are useing the small muffin pan, your bake time will be much quicker. In a medium bowl combine your cake flour, rosemary, baking powder, and salt and then set this aside.
SECOND, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl beat butter on about medium or high for a few seconds, add your sugar, your lemon extract, your vanilla and them beat again untill everything is light and fluffy
THIRD, add your eggs one at a time and beating each one in to your mixture, and then start adding your flour and milk to the butter mixture, beat it on low, after each one of these is combined then add your lemon peel and lemon juice.
FOURTH, spoon batter in the prepared cups about three fourths of the way full and then bake for around 20 minutes, give or take a few, keeping an eye on them, then your going to let cool and add your LEMON GLAZE
LEMON GLAZE IS
1 cup of powdered sugar and enouch lemon juice to make spreading consistent creamy smooth, and then stir in some shredded lemon peel, after muffins have cooled, spread this all over top of your muffins.
AND ENJOY NAKED!
I have been saying for awhile now about sharing some of my favorite things that just make me smile, wither it be a yummy pastry or something sweet to make. I think the simple things in life are what make it, the small things, just like the song, whiskers on kittens and rain drops on roses....I think of a few of my favorite things.....and then I don't feel so bad :)
Life takes us all over, its the downs that make us appreciate the ups. I have had a whirl wind of downs in my life, but I think of all the good in life and how can you be sad? Then when I think I might have it really bad, I just look a little deeper in the world and look at all the horrible in it, and my world seems safe and sweet. On that note here are some of the sweet things I enjoy around spring time, and sharing a few of well... my favorite things!
A flavoured water.....A refreshing drink...here is one of my most favorite things to do in the sweet early spring....and it makes me feel warm like summer.
You dont always have to have lemonade in the spring and summer, when its hot and I have been working in the yard, these are a few of my favorite things to add to water.
Cut up a lemon and add thyme leaves to the water. Let it sit in a big pitcher in the fridge.
Cut up a lemon and add sprigs of rosemary to the water, again let it sit in the fridge.
Cut up slices of cucumber and thyme leaves......
Cut up an orange and lime.....
I like to twist the juices of the orange and lemons and limes and then put the slices down into the pitcher and just let them sit for hours. A good strong lemonade is always good, but there is something about this that is refreshing....
So there is one of my favorite things, here is some fun ideas in getting ready for the spirit of Easter!

Here is something fun to do for either a spring party or Easter dinner, these are fun to sit in a seperate little dish on your dinner dish and then place it to the side when dinner is served. Take some green spanish moss *walmart* you can get bags of it or hobby lobby, if you have one close, hobby lobby is really really cheap on there's, like 50 cents a bag LOL walmart is like 3$ a bag, huge price difference. Anyhow lol, ball up a handfull of the spanish moss and then hollow out the center with like ur thumb, when u have a birds like nest formed, wrap a single florist wire right around the outside. and then you can place a simple tree twig through the nest, gather the tree twigs from outside in the woods or again, you can get those at walmart of hobby lobby or heck any craft store, then in the center put a handfull of beautiful jelly beans, to be eaten after din din :) and the guest can take home their little nest!
Two other things I love to do for a Spring party or Easter is the little wire butterflys you can get in any craft store, like a bag of them, and wrap the stem around a water glass :)...The other is to tie great big beautiful bows from the back of your chairs at the dinner table :)

LOL well ITS PRESIDENTS DAY...so I hope everyone has a nice one, wither you work or get to stay home and relax......on another note, remember I will be leaving about ohh 12:30 today, I am taking my mom and I for a manicure,...was suppose to happen last week and didn't so today is the day, I should be back somewhere around 3.....and play with you all untill din din time, and then back on my regular hours :)....
Hey there, hope everyone had a beautiful Valentines, mine was very sweet....but on another note...I will be getting some errands and things done around home this weekend, I will try stop in and post to whats going on.
Monday, I of course work at the gym, and then will be online regular time, somewhere between 9 and 10 am central time....for most of you that know I was taking my mom and I for a manicure last Monday and it got rescheduled for this coming Monday at 1, now I should not be gone to long, enough to enjoy a little outing with my mom and them back for a few before I fix some dinner and then the rest of the week looks like my regular schedule :) I just like to keep everybody informed on what I am doing. I know I miss everyone when I am not here, so like for you to know when I am here and stepping away for a moment.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend, right now not sure of the plans tonight, I may be around a bit longer again. I will see if the girls and I are planning on Saturday instead of tonight :)...I will let you know, but I should be here untill at least 6 pm central time.

I hope everyone has had a beautiful day, I have had a beautiful Valentines, here with all of you, I am having a little steak din din with my mom here this eve, but I will be back untill about 9/10 somewhere between there, my treat for myself this eve is to take a hot bubble bath, and I got a rose to pull the petals off and toss in with me, just breath it in and relax before the day is over and I am back up at 3:30 and out the door to the gym. Hey!!! WELL I do it every year, shave my little pussy hairs into a heart for Valentines day, I guess you could call it a tradition. I have fun getting into the holidays one way or the other :). I hope you all enjoy a little heart on!
I am fixing to go take a nice hot bubble bath for the eve, so stop in before I slip away for the night. The weather as you know from this morning has been really wicked today, and more snow in the forecast for the night, but think the wind has calmed down, so hopefully I will keep electric, that is why I was running late this morning. The rain sounds pretty but will soon be switching over to a wintery mix....making me sleepy hee hee.

Hey guys, the weather has been hidious, I have been loseing power since about midnight last night, the winds have knocked power lines and I had to drive around trees in the road on the way home, the cross between wintery mix and whatever else its going to do today is scary!!! I will be on soon, powdering the pussy LOL
Hey there, it's Friday and I have a busy weekend ahead of me. For of you that know I live in Kentucky, so there was storms on Tuesday, I got very lucky that I am just left with some cleanup. Over 50 people are dead, was a horrible week. Otherwise I am good, just cleanup and the weather will be much cooler.....but there are spring flowers coming up through the ground, that are just making me all warm inside.
The earlier blog I had, talked about the change of plans for Monday, and that I would be running late that day, I did receive a message this eve, that I will be taking my mom for her manicure and for mine also the following Monday, so there is no time change for this coming week, not sure I will paint my nails red myself, I am good with my toes lol, so they are red. I will be here like I usually am, around 9-10 central time. The girl that usually does the manicures has the nasty flu bug going around, and does not want to chance anyone getting sick, so I was thankful, although the following Monday I will be leaving in the mid day, and back around dinner time....I will keep you all updated on that.....
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I will see everyone soon, I will be here a bit later this eve. I will take a dinner break and then be back to visit for a little bit.

Ahh must be raining and snowing every where!!!
Rain for the next couple days on and off, but it makes me want spring so much more....I think it would be fun to have a snow but then I sit on the porch this morning, rain sprinkling down, blue jays, wrens, and squirrels all over the yard......I just can not wait to see all the spring flowers coming up, everything with buds and ahh yes the allergies. I know spring is still a couple months away, but this kinda weather spoils me. It has made me post some of my past summer pictures LOL, which drives me more crazy wanting to be out swimming and feeling the sun hit my body!
So I hope in the middle of winter, and you are going stir crazy like me ready for the warmth, you get a little bit of peace seeing the outdoor pics with me:)

Hey there, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, mine was busy, relaxing and enjoyable all wrapped into one. I am still working on one of my videos, :) hopefully will be up soon and then I have a few hearts of Valentines coming up next :)....10 days away and its the lovers day, it is kinda funny how its went from a holiday of cards, to seeing commercials for cars LOL...which I think is a bit much, I think it is a little holiday just to let special people know what they mean to you, I think a kiss, a card, and maybe little something to make a person smile is enough...I think people try to push it a bit much, and take away the love from it!
So I hope to chat with every one this week and maybe share some yummy treats that are good to eat through out the next week, that you can fix up and enjoy yourself for Valentines!

Well my plans changed a bit, with Becky working late and a few other things, we all decided we go out tomorrow night for Mexican FOOD!
Now I may only be staying for an hour or so, and then I am gonna curl up in a warm spot :) AND get some well needed rest.

Hey there all, well its the weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have a few things going on this weekend, some outdoor projects. Also be looking for my new video, it was one I had absolutley fun making! I hope it gives everyone who gets to see it a giggle and a smile, and I have a few more things in thoughts to do on the funny, happy side!
Also my last Oobie art is up, it will be the last one for awhile, I explained that in the blog for the Oobie art.
So I will see everyone on Monday, the weekend weather is suppose to be around 50/60 after a cold Friday night, so you will find me outdoors of course.
On Football lol yes I know it is the Superbowl. I am not really into the whole football thing. But on another note I hope you all have fun watching it!
