Looking at the web stats (google analytics) for last week, I find one fact particularly interesting; there was just over 7700 direct browses to Girl Time that didn’t originate from any search engine or web link. That means that once every 78 seconds, a visitor who has been here before typed www.girltime.com into his browser and came here directly.
This got me thinking about all the people that have been coming to Girl Time for so many years that they are practically part of the furnishings. Some of you remember back to the Las Vegas studio which closed in 2000 or the Chicago studio that was disbanded in 2001. So many of you are household names; too many to count really.
Back in 2003, new banking laws forced us to change our database which resulted in the loss of everyone’s signup date, but I know more than few of you that are still here today, were here back then.
As far as cam girls go, Katwoman and Elona are the current reigning longevity champs, but they are not the first girls to be here for more than 5 years.
Above everything else, this is the fact that matters to me the most. It’s what drives me to continue with our little “specialty shop” in spite of all the grinding competition from the massive pussy factories out there with “spend and go” girls.
My first exposure to the adult industry was working as a doorman in a classy strip club. It was my first job in the adult business back in the late 1980’s and I worked my way up to manager. The things I learned from those years have formed the basis of how I’ve run Girl Time from the very beginning. My goal is to create that same club camaraderie and atmosphere as closely as possible while dealing with all the limitation of the Internet. Girl time is about friendship, good conversation and quality service first, and if we succeed money will follow.
It’s the same as running a restaurant really. We put the best quality we can get on the menu, give you the highest level of service we possibly can and the rest is up to our guests. Sure, we could increase the items on our menu by serving up the same crap as everyone else, but that misses the point entirely. Fancy restaurants are “fancy” for a reason; and it’s not the quantity of their food. But hey, this is way off topic here; I’ll put this in a different post sometime.
The purpose of this post is to recognize the guys that have been hanging out for so many years and to thank everyone who keeps coming back day after day. You are the reason I do this, and I do view this as “your club” so always feel free to let me know what you’d like to see.

This weekend I got a scathing email from a studio owner telling me how shitty Girl Time was. He let me know how stupid I was for kicking big studios off and getting myself such a bad reputation in the Romanian cam girl forums. His salutation included a nice line about how much he will enjoy seeing the end of Girl Time, while he continues to get rich.
The letter came at a time on Sunday morning when Girl Time had no cam girls on the live side. The funny part is we had over twenty people on the site! They were watching videos, reading blogs, looking at pictures, commenting on posts, even chatting with me on ICQ.
This is not the first time I’ve gotten letters like this, there’s always going to be someone out there that just doesn’t “get it”. But now that we have these nice new blogs, I thought I’d start sharing some of the philosophy behind Girl Time. I hope that this will both bring the how’s and why’s of Girl Time into focus and show those who don’t “get it” the futility of questioning it.
