My two week post.....

Ok, so maybe it only seems like I post anything on here every two weeks or so. I guess its a balance between being the introverted bear that I think I am and the fact that as fall and winter sets in, not alot is going on.

So today I find myself working from home as I have the ac and furnace replaced here at home. Mostly because of the furnace and the high heating bills I was facing for this winter. So, this should be cheaper then what it has cost me in the past, but time will tell. And I must say I already appreciate this company for their timeliness. They said they would be here at 8 am to get started, they were here at 8 am. You have to like that. Much better then those cable companies that say we will be at your home somewhere between 12 and 4. Bastards. Heheheh.

Anyways, so the guys have gotten started, and its probably time for me to get working here out of my home office.

Ah...and it is Halloween as well. I will not be home to pass out candy to the kiddies tonight, but I am heading out to my usual wednesday night hangout with friends for dinner and drinks, and I will be dressing up. So far it sounds like I will be the only one. Buttheads. :)  Hopefully pictures will follow tomorrow.

From a blog I came across today, they have some examples of bad movie posters for bad movies. And hey, whats better then watching a good box office hit then a crappy so bad its funny movie. A few of these I may almost be curious enough to track down and read. So anymovies out there that you've seen that are so bad that they're funny? I have a few more in mind I have seen or heard about. Maybe I can make this into a weekly segment. Bear's crappy movie hole. What do you think?

"Mmmmmm....donut" has Homer Simpson would say. 

A home dough-nu-matic machine. Honestly. Truly. A dozen donuts in under 6 minutes it says. That is unfortunately that is making them faster then I can eat them. Not that I am willing to give it a shot. Mmmmm...warm donuts. Damn. Now I am hungry. :)

It's been a while.....

....so what has LilBear been up to? Well....let's see, almost two weeks since my last post on here, and not much exciting to share from that time.

My days have been busy with work, which is picking up as we head into the winter months. I think right now I probably have about 5 or 6 folders on the corner of my desks of projects that are waiting for a phone call from clients to proceed. I just hope all those calls don't come at the same time, or else I will be one working butt bear for a few weeks. There are a few interesting projects in there that I am eager to get started on. There is a multiuse community center building for a retirement / condomimum complex. There is a family entertainment roller rink / laser tag facility. *thinks. Also an urban "village" of mixed use commercial, office, and condominiums consisting of 8 high rise buildings, 3 parking garages, and a river front marina. That is one I am really looking forward to working on. And a few other mix and match things. Nothing that shouldn't be too difficult for my company to do, we just need to be let loose to get to work on those.

And my evenings? Hmm.....quite restful lately. Some tv, a few movies, the hockey season is starting up, the baseball season is finishing up, and both college and pro football are in full swing. Which leads to my early saturday afternoons on the couch with the guitar watching Virginia Tech football like this:

So, other than that, not much new here in the bear cave. Starting to look forward to the fall, cooler temperatures, sweatshirt weather, the nice chill when outside. Not looking forward to cleaning up all the leaves and branches that fall from the trees. But, oh well. You take the good and the bad, right?
