Labor Day Weekend

Well, Labor Day Weekend is almost here. Depending on where you are at, this typically means the end of summer for anyone under the age of 18. I know here in Virginia next monday is the start of classes. Which means now on my way to work I have to dodge yellow school buses driven by paid volunteers who may or may not have questionable driving records. :) But, we must all do our part for the children.

As for myself, well, I am about to hit the road for a short trip for a friend's wedding so I will be gone for a few days. I hope to maybe peek in here once or twice while I am away, but being I am an usher in the wedding party, it appears I have a pretty full few days ahead of myself. But, being in the wedding party, that should mean a few pictures of Bear in a penguin suit next week. ;) I will see what I can do for the few fans of you out there. :)

But, it should be a good time catching up with friends I have not seen in a while, enjoying the celebration and getting away from work for a few days. :) Not to mention hitting the highway and cranking the stereo. :)

Worst Album Covers

Well, it has been a while since I have written anything, but there sure has not been much going on in LilBear world lately. Work, recover, work, recover. Hoping to have a break in the routine soon, but there are things to look forward to. Football (both college and pro) starting back up. Looking at two months until the start of the hockey season. So, even if I am stuck in a bit of routine for a little bit, besides the wonderful people on here at girltime, there will be many things out there to break up the monotony.

But anyway, a week or so ago, through fark.com, a Florida newspaper on its website put together a little slide show of 100 worst album covers. Some of these are a bit scary. Mostly on the unintentional humor scale. Even a few on the oh my god scale. So, let me share you some of my favorites and you can let me know what you think.

Well, there is a small sample. Ok, so thats a large sample. But, you can look at even more here. and here. Now a couple things I have to wonder. Do I have a bit of a twisted mind that like some of the religious album titles sound.....dirty? 4 men singing about "Let Me Touch Him"? A trio of a guy and two girls singing about "The Sounds of His Coming"? Yeah, my mind went to the gutter. And what is it about albums with puppets and ventriloquist dummies? Does it kind of defeat the purpose of the show?

I don't know. These amused me none the less. Well, outside to do some yard work. Wheeee! :)
