46.417 degree North by 072.342 West. So I was supposed to be on vacation until tomorrow, but the office called me and asked me to come back a little early, so that the guy relieving me could join another ship and the next guy’s vacation not being delayed.
Bottom line, I had to rush to get all my things done, got super tired, managed to take the planes in time to end up waiting for the ship in Sept-Iles. So I am back in the regular second engineer duties for now. No idea what the office is planning for next month.
We are presently coming up the St-Lawrence river, passing Montreal in the morning, bounded for Toledo with iron ore pellets. Next trip will be of grain (I don’t know which type) from Sarnia bound for Port Cartier, then another load of iron ore from Sept-Iles for Toledo.
It should take me a few more days to find my sleep pattern back and get used again to be inside a steel box.
